Botox

Botox

Botox is a popular cosmetic procedure used to safely negate the signs of aging. Some of the most common uses of Botox are to help eliminate the appearance of wrinkles on the forehead, frown lines, crow’s feet, and necklines. For the right patients, Botox can offer immediate results with short recovery times – making them look younger and building confidence.

Botox works to reduce wrinkles and prevent them from developing further by blocking neurotransmitters responsible for muscle contraction in the face. Visible results will usually be apparent within a few days of treatment.

HOW IS BOTOX ADMINISTERED?

Botox is administered via injections into the facial muscles that cause wrinkles. Botox injections do not require anesthesia and are virtually painless. After receiving injections, a patient may experience short-termed bruising and weakness near the injection site; however, they may resume normal activity immediately. Treatment with Botox is ongoing, and results are not permanent. Two to three rounds of injections per year may be necessary to maintain desired results.

As of 2013, Botox injections were the most common cosmetic operations in the United States, with 6.3 million performed procedures. Help fight the signs of aging safely and noninvasively.
