Dr Duc Lam DDS, MD

Duc Lam, DDS, MD is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who received his Bachelor of Science Biology degree from the University of Saint Thomas in Houston and went on to pursue a doctorate in dental surgery from the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston. He continued his education and earned his medical doctorate at McGovern Medical School, completing USMLE Step 1, 2, and 3. He completed his general anesthesia training at Ben Taub General Hospital. Afterwards, he obtained a 2 year General Surgery certificate and specialized in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, completing his surgical training at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. He is certified in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, and pediatric advanced life support.

 

Dr. Lam’s rigorous training from the world-renowned Texas Medical Center allows him to operate in the full scope of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery with interests in full mouth dental implant rehabilitation surgery, wisdom teeth surgery, maxillofacial trauma, facial Botox injections, and oral pathology. He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), a diplomate member of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and has hospital privileges at Memorial Hermann Memorial City.

Dr. Lam also enjoys teaching students and is an adjunct associate professor at the UT School of Dentistry, focusing on patients in need at
the Healthcare for the Homeless in Houston clinic. He enjoys experiencing different cultures and traveling to scenic locations around the world to capture landscape photographs. He is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and has also trained in Wushu Kung Fu, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, American-style boxing, Muay Thai, and Krav Maga. During his free time, you will find him spending time with his family and significant other, playing tennis with his 3 brothers, or planning another snowboarding trip. He speaks both English and Vietnamese.
