Kamal F. Busaidy
Dr. Busaidy grew up in London, England. He graduated from dental school at the University of London in 1992. Over the next six years, he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, Faculty of Dentistry, gaining surgical experience in the United Kingdom and in the Middle East, before arriving in the USA in 1998. Dr. Busaidy completed an additional four years of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency training at UT Health Houston, graduating in 2002. Since then, he has been teaching and operating at UTHealth and in its affiliated hospitals at the Texas Medical Center, where he holds the rank of Professor.
Dr. Busaidy teaches dental students and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residents. He is the chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Hospital Dentistry at Shriners Hospital for Children in Houston, where he is also a member of the Cronin and Brauer Cleft Lip and Palate surgical team. Dr. Busaidy is also the Clinical Director for the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Faculty Practice at UTHealth, and Director of the Hinds Academy Clinical Simulation Facility, where he runs courses in anesthesia and emergency medicine for dental practices, using high fidelity simulation. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, Faculty of Dentistry. Dr. Busaidy has been an examiner for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for six years and is the past President of the Houston Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
